Hmmm... I have an old (late 50's maybe) Eberspächer gas heater in my bus that was rebuilt by a guy in Colorado, and when it was running I hardly noticed a drop in gas mileage at all (but then again I'm in mild Seattle and didn't have to have it on high all the time). On a side note, when I was shopping for gas heaters I initially looked into new gas boat heaters that ran ~$1500 US! I wasn't *that* cold. T o M
