In reply to: Also, does anyone know where I can find replacement rubber sleeves/hoses that > connect the fan housing and fresh air heaters (heat exchangers?) If you live near an airport where alot of general aviation planes planes ( single/twin engine prop; " air cooled " ) that fly in and out of, check to see if the airport has a FBO ( fixed base operator/ check the phone book ). If they have one check with the parts department for " Scat Tubing ". This is a red high temp hose ( flexable & comes in many different diameters). It is used on aircraft to route air. Unfortunately because its an aircraft part $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ !! But you will only need about a foot. Oh, it comes with or without a reinforceing spiral wrap wire... Get it without...It makes it easier to work with on a short section. Hope this helps. Remember everyone, general aviation is the largest users of air-cooled engines. Lots of good stuff for those hard to find or no longer made parts... John Z. 69 Square ( Aircraft Mechanic ; in case you were wondering )
