I run headers, but still needed those rubber sleeves to connect the elbows. All the junkers either had them missing, or were in very bad shape. Not much stands up to CA ozone. What I ended up doing was grabbing the elbows and hauling them down to the best parts place in town. They had some hose/tubing that the elbows fit into with a good slip fit. About $10/ft. Only needed a foot, so $5/side didn't seem too bad. Bought 4 stainless steel hose clamps to go with, have been running for 7 years that way. Seems to me that there's some offset on the stock muffler/heater setup, this might not work for you. See if you can get a friendly clerk at a parts place and see what you can get. Might be some flex-type radiator or heater hose you might be able to adapt. Post what you come up with, I'm sure there's others out there with the same trouble. Try to find an independant outfit, the chains don't seem to stock the oddball stuff.
