I'm sure that LMA has many fine properties (it is DoT-4), and I
started using it because the racer crowd here recommended it.
However, I quickly found that it had very real drawbacks in lack of
lubricity in the MC. I started wearing out the seals in the MC every
2 years! After a few years of this I came to recognize the squeaky
clean feeling of the rubber seals wearing themselves down on the
sides of the MC bore. At about that time (1979) I finally found a
supplier for DoT-5 Silicone Brake Fluid and have not had to rebuild
or replace a MC since (REALLY!)

Oops, he mentioned crimp connectors, and all I thought of was the
electrical connectors. Yes, the injector crimps can be cut off, if
you are CAREFUL!!! I use Oetiker hose clamps, these are not the worm
gear type which don't work too well in small diameters, but are the
pinch type like VW used in many places when the cars were new.
I managed to find an industrial supplier that stocked these and I use
them on all the semi-permanent connections on the FI fuel loop.

Excellent advice. This should be done right away on any FI T3 you
buy and about every 5 years thereafter.
