Re: again considering 12v conversion

This oughtta be in the FAQ. Have we got an FAQ yet?

JamesMcG=> a 12v generator that will fit

Kymco, about $150.

=> New voltage regulator?

Comes with the generator.

=> What about the wiper motor?

The 12V motor drops in. The trick is the switch -- easier to use the
late switch (may require drilling out the mount hole), but the late
knobs are ugh-lee.

=> Where can I get 12v chokes and cutoffs for my 32PDSITs?

Use manual cutoffs. I got my 12V chokes with a pair of nasty old carbs
and linkage bits at a swap meet for $20. Plan on getting lucky.

=> If I could ... I probably would not be thinking about converting the
=> car to 12v.

Then, like Jim sez, don't -- you can accomplish what you want with the 6V
system. Conversion involves a fair amount of hassle, and there's no
guarantee you won't be creating as many problems as you solve.
