>Dont give up.. You've just found the Homer Simpson of mechanics, and a hint >to start with.. Clean the trigger contacts in the BASE of the distributor, >they need it every 15K or so anyway. This reminds me......my car was hesitating in the mornings recently.........after some freaking out and doomsday predictions I finally calmed down and bought a bottle of FI cleaner for my gas tank. Worked like a charm despite my feeling like a chump in the checkout lane (I didn't know a good FI cleaner from snake oil.........) How strongly is a fuel additive recommended? I've never gotten the same answer twice.....and for those who swear by them, they can't seem to agree on an additive.... Let's see, I'm a never-been-rebuilt, ??? miles (broken odometer at 28,xxx), never had any real engine problems (THANKS CURT!), and always use 93 octane unleaded...... Thanks gang....
