Everett, No, not really. The circuits in a 12v radio are designed to have about 12 volts going through them, so at 6 they won't be happy. (the transistors won't be biased correctly if they open at all, current limiting will be messed up, and so forth). They do make little boxes to let 12v stuff work on 24v truck electrical systems, but I haven't seen anything that bumps 6v up to 12 (has anyone out there seen one? it wouldn't be too hard for an EE to design) All the 'fixes' to get 12v out of a 6v generator would be harder than just destroying the originality of your car and going to 12v... BUT- They DO make little DC-DC converters to give you 12v out of a 5v computer power supply, so if you could find one of those from a parts house, I bet it'd work in a 6V car- again, I defer to the list- any ideas out there?
