RE: Idling vs. Start-up


>From the reality file as concerns my '80 Westi,
that does tend to run hot. Installed an oil temp
gauge and been keeping stats and an eye on it.
BTW, it's NOT high performance, just driven
100 miles a day! up and down California foothills.

Idling heats up the engine, if the outside temp is
high, meaning above about 90 degrees F.
