Not true...I work as a mechanic in a Chevrolet Dealership...never heard
anything of the sort...but depending on the vehicle, the 134a conversion
isn't all that expensive.  There is a new type of freon that will work
in both 134a and r12 systems and is supposed to work really well...can't
think of teh name for it right now...Oh well, but r 12 wilol be around
for a long time :)
