I remember when New York outlawed Leaded gas in 87 that the story on the
news said that the US would be lead free in 2 years. But think a minute..
no car with a catalytic converter can use it which means in the US no car newer than 1974 can use it so why would anyone sell it?? so few people could use
it that it wouldn't be profitable to sell it except maybe at a racetrack and
at a very high price.
Anywho if you have a 64 Notch thats really a 64 and if its a 1500S you have
domed pistons with the high compression ratio if its never been rebuilt.
You MUST use the best gas you can find (94 oct Sunoco ultra here) of you'll
burn up the pistons in short order! Even then I wouldnt cruise the highway
on a hot day.
Nearly all of these motors that made it to the states got torn down very early
in the game to have flattops installed however so you may not have the domies
anymore but you know more about your cars history than me of course!
