I'm on to my second electric fuel pump, The first was a pieburg electric roller vane style pump, It was low preasure and required no regulator with 2 * 36DRLAs. When the plastic fittings snapped I then changed to a FACET blue top pump, this is a much bigger high volume pump, but still low preasure, but this does require a regulator. I have a filter king regulator as the pump has too much preasure and the engine can flood after 5 mins of idleing without it. It is one of those noisy types particularly when bolted on to the bulkhead. As for wireing up electric pumps, the recomended way, and that used by all manufacturers for all injected and some carbed engine is to use an inertia switch. These switches brake contact in an accident and thus stop fuel being pumped everywhere. All of them can be reset, but some can also be tripped on purpose, thus acting as a simple anti theft device. As for using an oil preasure switch, this is a good idea, but you may need a relay and you will probably need an override switch so the pump can run before you have any oil preasure, thus enabling you to start the engine. A relay on this swich is also good for any heated rear window, so you canhave the HRW on when the engine is running. Nic Webb, England 71 fastback 1835cc Team Roobarb & Custard.
