RE: Tough window winders...


Hi there,

This is the sort of thing I have had to deal with alot because of
the amount of rain here in the UK.

If you remove the door panel and  undo the  4 securing bolts near the 
winder handle you should be able to slide the window all the way down.

You will have to undo the channel bolt on the door lock side at the bottom.
This will release the glass which you can then remove.

If you look at the end of the winder mechanism there should be a wire that
looks similar to a coat hanger.  I have found that removing this and just
lining up the round end into the window groove and oiling works wonders.
Its easier than it sounds and works much better than the original.
