While the idea you have expressed here is true, the facts are not quite so
simple.
All type IIIs used a 3/4" dia MC except for pre-66 squarebacks which were 13/16.
All disk brake type IIIs used a 3/4" master cyl; all type IIIs have 42mm
pistons in the calipers; the pads were larger in the late years, but the
pistons are the same. (The rebuild kits are different only because they
include different spreader springs, caliper bolts, and bolt locking plates.)
