Oh boy.... Yesterday i found out exctly what i stepped in a few weeks ago when i offered to buy this guy's vw's.... THIRTY FIVE vw's.. sheesh..:) 3 t-4's (yeah, real 4 headlight t-4's..:) (all wagons..) 4 t-3's, all square.. (both 3's and 4's in verious states of decomposition too...:( a rabbit p/u in excellent shape, needs a wiring harnesss though..(er...engine compartment harness...) 4 or 5 other rabbits in various states of decomposition, and in the corner of his shed, what is EITHER a old Saab, or a Rometesh(sp?) or similar....will check further into that one!:) and the rest are bugs... and then there are the PARTS laying around! at least 10 engines, some good, some not a HUGE pile of engine tin, fenders hoods, etcetc.. LOADS of stuff! as for t-2 stuff, a 66-67 or so passengers door, and rear hatch, and engine hatch too i think...all white over green twotone...(to answer the question about whether or not doors were two tone on the inside? sure are!:) and, possibly, possibly buried under all of this stuff is a set of singlecab gates....he said he took them off long ago from his first VW which was a single (lucky guy!:) and they may still be around.. the bugs range from a early 60's rag (well, the top clip may still be good...the rest is pretty much gone, i think..:( to lots of mid 60's bugs, all the way to about 74 or so with a super...maybe one later than that, but i didnt see any FI aprons... just tonnes of stuff... did i mention teh <ugh> ford courier? how about the running but needs lots of TLC Willys? :) wow....of course, figuring out how i may shoehorn this stuff into my yard is VERY questionable... but i can figure it out...:) Now...here is teh catcher... i'll need to liquidate as much of this as i can ASAP....i dont see this a being a problem, since you guys are always ready to buy...:) mom said she may be willing to loan me the money, but only is she gets to driv the rabbit-truck...:) (her hubby has fallen in love with HER truck..an 80...:) i think she misses her truck..:) but of course, i'd have to pay her back ASAP...also, i may end up having to go out to alabama to kiss my great-uncle's butt and buy a towtruck off him for dirt cheap, for payments...:) mainly cause when you have 40 cars in the yard, ya dont want to have to resort to towstraps anymore...:) beginning of next week we're gonna go back out there to spend a few days hunting through everything to see what is really there, and i'll keep ya'll posted...(oh, the willys is sold already..:) now i need to scrape up the cash to get asearch and rescue mug before richard sends the order off...:) shesh...36 or seven more cars....damn...i gues that would mean i would have fortyfive cars...or six..:) god damn... anyhow, if anyone is interested in anything, or looking for anything, get your bids in now...:) thanks folks..i'll keep you posted..... ....david, who is still getting around to nabbing the 66 bus, the 71 ex-westy, and whatever is in the stash accros the lake that i havent looked at yet...:) damn i need a mug..:) -- Mo.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.oM Keeper Of The Light: Pushing Back The Darkness at http://www.armory.com/~y21cvb/west/darkness.html The Turning 40 Nostalgic VW Service Tour, and Search for the Beginning of Wind http://www,armory.com/~y21cvb/charlie/charlie.html '75 Retired Westy-Canadian Model, Cody '69 Westy, Itchigo xi8940@freenet.tlh.fl.us '71 Baja Squareback, Lady Located in Augusta, Georgia '69 Lifted-n-Rusted Beetle, Unnamed
