Re: Rear Rubber Mat


I don't know about OEM or aftermarket, but I just went to a good hardware store.  
Buy three or four feet of 3 ft. wide black, ribbed, rubber floor mat (it usually 
comes on a big roll.) Cut it to an precise fit.  Cut all but two inches of the 
old mat out.  Attach the new material to this with a good contact cement.  
Carefully remove the 
strip of rubber that fits in the crack of the engine deck lid from the old mat.  
Position this in the crack, apply contact cement, and lay new mat on top for a 
proper fit.  This looks good, helps deaden noise, and has better friction to 
keep stuff from sliding around.

I hope this is of use to many of you.  The cost is around $15.00.
