Air vent leakage is a two part solution.

1. Clean both drain tubes of debris, including debris in plastic box
they connect two.

2. Re-seal plastic box to the air intake vent on body cowling. This is a
tedious job, but worth the work (should last another 20 years).

Internal Fuel Tank Fill:

A compromise is to use the 68 fender which has a gas flap, but no
internal pull handle mechanism. This retains the stock fill tube, but is
much less hassle to use than the 69 style.
