Need to know ASAP! Probably no chance this will pass CA smog with the wrong engine in it. Probably not a good deal anyway with that engine in there (it won't last) unless you want yourself a project car and are already into type IIIs and want to restore the car and build it a new engine. And if you wanted to do all that why would you start out with this specimen? About the only 2 good things I see here are the dash and the pedigree. (On top of that you have to remember to take my advice with a grain of salt because I want to save them ALL.)
