'66 Fastback for Sale $300 - Should I buy

What do you think?

Have the opportunity to purchase a 1966 Fastback w/Type 1 engine and single
solex carb, oil bath breather, stock type 1 muffler,  original radio.

Rubber is bad, winsheild cracked, needs bumpers, needs partial interior
(front passenger seat), needs brakes, front calipers.

Runs,Front end good,  body in fair condition, pan had rot but was fixed by
riveting new quarter in rear but didn't cut away rust portion, dashboard in
perfect condition, custom 8 spoke rims(Empri's ?).

Will it pass smog with this type of motor set-up?

All for $300.


Is this a good deal??  Need to know ASAP!
