 My car used to have what sounds like the same problem. I put white 
lithium grease along where the felt was worn out in the window channel. 
It was the worn felt that was allowing the window to rock, in turn 
binding it up. It's only temporary, but it may help until the felt can 
be replaced (if that's the problem). -T
