>From: "Jim and Johnna Bridges" <RatchetJaws@msn.com> > As a new owner of a '71 squareback, I am in need of basic maintenance >information. Anyone who would be able to help me out with such information >as; how to "lean" and "rich" the fuel mixture on the jetronic fuel injection >system, valve adjustment parameters and point adjustment parameters as well as >recommendations for the proper oil to use (I live in Florida) would be greatly >appreciated. Also, any recommendations on literature pertaining to >maintenance would be greatly appreciated, as well as where I would go to get >it. I heard that the Chilton manual for this model vehicle leaves a lot to be >desired, so I am staying clear of it. Here are the manuals I recommend. I agree that you are best off avoiding the Chilton (or Clymers) manuals.
