Christopher, A new seat CAN be put in, if it's not TOO damaged. But if you're going to do one, do them all. And if your going to do them all, you might as well get another head. A NEW stock head runs about $75, at least the last time I bought one (anyone else bought one recently?). I'm sure his time would be more than $75. Unless he's willing to repair it "under warantee". You never said which head this was. If it is the left head (remember Muir "left is left") with the temp hole or the right without. If left and no warantee, make sure you get one WITH the hole! If right, doesn't matter.
