Yes, provided the hinge is new. However, I would recommend you attach the
bottom hinge like the top one: with bolts/screws (I forget the proper term).

On my '72 Squareback, the passenger door was badly damaged in an
appearent accident. The bottom hinge was either broken off, or so badly
damaged that it rusted through. Whatever the reason, the door is hanging
on only one hinge. Is it possible to weld it back on?
