'73 into '71

Greg,

No the '73 seats will not work in the '71 unless you cut the "pyramid"
seat mount out and weld it into the older car. (yuch.)  Although I think
that the seat back WILL fit onto the '71 seat bottom. (note: I said fit
onto, not match. The '73 has a little bit different shape to the head
rest.) The seat back should work correctly though.

Also the rear hatch/door/decklid (whatever) has a different latch
mechanism/strikerplate. It looks more like (if not) the regular driver's
door mech/striker.  I don't know if you can exchange the mechs for the
other.

Otherwise the body parts are the same, if I recall correctly.
