T3 Rebuild Longevity 160K &camshaft/lifter combo's

T3 people,
Further to the lifter and cam discussion, I have used both Eaton
and genuine VW lifters on all my engines with satisfactory results every
time, even with 2nd hand camshafts, like when I rebuilt the 'S' I kept
the original camshaft which was still okay and not flat and used genuine
VW lifters- beautiful! Another friend of mine has had one cam and lifter
set gone flat, last year. Not sure why but the cam was a 2nd hand but
hardly used Engle 130 and new genuine VW lifters. Didn't realy matter
but...
Berg also use Scat lifters sometimes too so don't believe all that you
read from the house of Berg, ie- Berg is best!
As for cams I heard something interesting a while back and I hope
someone cam clarify this. Apparently engle, scat and the like are forged
cams and the Bugpack cams are cast? Not sure about this one, any input
anyone? I stick to Berg/Engle or genuine NOS VW so it doesn't matter to
me, just curious.
