I did the same thing, but I have to remember to do it. I believe the
original suggestion was to configure the list server (so Greg will have to
look into this) so that any messages it sends out get the following line
included in the header:
Reply to:type-3@umich.edu
If this is done then our mail programs will see that and reply to it instead
of to the original poster.
I was surprised that the messages come with:
From:<original_poster>
in the header instead of:
From:type-3@umich.edu
This would also be a solution.
