I have seen a Hall effect EI in a D-Jetronix type IV, and I believe there is
the same amount of room in the FI type III. Don't remember the brand.

A company named Delta started making a CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) in
the 60s that would work in any car that used a standard points (Kettering)
ignition. These were later offered in kit form by Heathkit. I have used
these in Type III for many years, but I don't know if they are still in
business. They may have gone out of business when all the major
manufacturers started installing OEM electronic ignitions.

Does anyone know if Delta is still in business?
