Hi All, Well, I decided to pull the motor on my 70 FI Auto and do a little research into it's condition. Interestingly enough, I found a bad place for someone to store an extra sparkplug... there was a perfectly unused Bosch super sitting on top of the intake between 3 and 4, just inside the Cylinder cover plate (the one that has the holes for the spark plug wires.). and evidently, this previous repairman had a bad day, because he also left the handle from his broken screwdriver sitting on top of the case, just under the Intake air distributor. 8( So, I'm inspecting everything a little closer and I find something else. The kickdown switch was being held together with a wire tie, you know the type that you tie a bread wrapper with. The lever is long gone, so... Anyone have a kickdown switch, Part number 003 927 211 available for purchase? It's a shame because this switch evidently works, there is just no lever. and no way to attach one either. more interesting stories to come, I'm sure...
