Re: type3-d Digest V2006 #371


Wiper motors are specific, even different for some different years of Type 3.
Arms are different lengths - bigger than Beetle, smaller than (similar year)
Bus.   Outside mirrors are not the same - the Type 3 (and 4?) has a flange that
seals to the door surface, Beetles have a thicker flange that socket more
deeply.  They can be used if you can't get the original one.  Bus mirrors are
much bigger.  Screens are different sizes.  Carpeting is specific to the body
shape - if the shape is the same, you're looking at another Type 3!
