Agreed on this point- I only pulled my injectors when I needed to
replace the injector hoses. I picked up a full set of injector seals in
case they looked bad on inspection, and indeed some of mine were a bit
hardened and cracked. They're nice to have in a drawer just in case-
they will harden in the heat of the engine compartment after a few decades.

I wouldn't clean out the injectors with anything more than bottle of
Techron in the tank once in a while. And even then on an old, uncleaned
tank I'd be worried about dislodging something in the tank and having it
go into the fuel lines, or at least gum up the fuel filter.

The rule I follow on the electricals on my Fasty is to not disconnect
anything unless there's a good reason- these FI systems connectors are
old and its hard to find replacements.
