On a T-1 you have a flex brake line in the vacinity <sp> of the front of
the swing axle. Brake line on the front, split in the boot on the rear.
I don't think it would make much difference on a T-3, except it gets the
bolt out of the way of you arm if you are working on the starter or
adjusting the clutch by facing it rearward.
Even the earliest T-3's had the flex lines outboard.
