I'm going to take some solvent and a sewing needle and see if I can find 
and clear this slot.  I'd already cleaned the recess out with a Q tip, 
but the oil is not migrating.  This one hinge doesn't have it's little 
plastic cap, so that might related to extra dirt or corosion.  Oiling 
used to stop the creak, I'd have to do it every other year or so, 
usually with WD-40 and/or 30 weight.  Thanks everone!
