Sorry to hear your mis-fortunes. I performed the CSI autopsy on the T-34
tank, and looked inside the 64 Notch tank that I have here. Neither has
the cup in the bottom of the tank. 
Since that sketch that I got came from Europe, I am now to assume that
that cup in the carbed tanks was for later carbed Euro T-3's. I did not
pull the sender from my '66 Fastback to look in it.
BTW, I have 2 FI tanks laying out in the weeds. They need cleaned, but
one of them is from my '71 FB. The other is from my '69 SqB parts car.
