That's 180 crankshaft degrees, which is 90 dist shaft degrees. There WAS a change in the trigger points starting in '70, but it was just a construction detail and had no effect on timing. The timing change was done strictly by rotating the FI trigger cam on the distributor shaft. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
