Re: [T3] Exhaust

<x-flowed>Sure thing.
It works OK. Actually the first EMPI header I got for a VW used that stuff.
Do try to keep it from actually touching the header pipes as it will burn, but it's about the best thing I could find. Some headers actually have metal tubes attached to the header pipe which are really my favorite. I believe this size hose can also be used in place of the short rubber connectors which connect the fan housing to the "macaroni-like" mix-manifold for the heat exchanger and "bleed air" from the front of the heat exchanger (can you follow this? perhaps you don't have this part on your car anymore . .). I just completed ordering 3 feet of SCAT ducting from Aircraft Spruce. Thanks William for the Tip! Mike, Harrisburg, OR

I've successfully used "hi-temp" aircraft "Scat" hose, available from Aircraft Spruce and Specialty, among other general aviation parts suppliers

We're pretty happy with the looks/sound of the EMPI exhaust! All it needs is a chrome tip. I'd just like to find something better than this flimsy ducting. Thanks anyway, Mike

Wish I'd known you were having muffler issues -- I've got a solid stock VW muffler in the garage just taking up space. Only possible problem would be that I'm in Portland and you're near Eugene. :-)
