My 71 Square Drives like NEW!!! Well, maybe not NEW but what was driving like Grandpa is now more like a middle-aged person with the new tranny and such. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! Its so much quieter and smoother, the clutch is so much lighter now with the longer 72 arm, and its amazing how much power one has when one's accelerator cable is adjusted properly! :-) When things just slowly age and wear, you forget just how good they once were... my car's 3rd life is now underway, wait till next summer and the new engine! Its such a pleasure working on something that was made to be worked on too, and built to last! Unlike todays cars and trucks where the dealers want you to "Trade in the old inefficient SUV" ( that THEY sold you just 3 years ago!) VW intended you to get a nice long life out of its cars, although I doubt they expected 35 years!
