Don't boil it outside the bracket. It will explode, and be ruined. New
ones are NLA. The opening temp is 65-70 Centigrade. At that temperature,
the shutters should be all the way open. At normal room temperatures,
the the flaps should just start to open. All linkage should operater
freely. With the spring in place, and something breaks or fails, the
spring should pull the flaps wide open.
