Relubed the rear wheel bearings and CV's while everything was out, and with less than 40K on the CV's since the last relube the grease in a couple of them was indeed looking a bit pithy... they needed it but fortunately they all still looked good. My past statements that the rubber CV boots will last forever in the cool Northeast seems to be no longer accurate. I guess forever is longer than 35 years but the rubber is finally starting to get crazed, next relube Ill probably replace all 4 but this time I had to swap on of them out. Probably good to grab our stub axles from time to time and shove them in and out to redistribute the grease!
