<x-flowed>They also couldnt decide on the case breather. Some earlies have no nipple off the tower with a nipple on the air cleaner. Some have no nipples at all. Took them till 63 to figure that out as well.

Really? I wonder what they were thinking? Do you suppose the engineers at VW
were having a debate on the necessity of a thermostat and decided to let the
early cars be their beta test?


Did beetles always have thermostats? If not, when did they start?
