We have good glass and new West Coast > Metric seals. You want to put the window in with plenty of soap/water lubricant. I don't think any kind of sealant will work if you're covered with the soap and water the way you should be, and whatever is on the seal will get EVERYWHERE by the time you're done, so that's another good reason to stick with something that cleans up easily. Keep in mind that these cars came from the factory with nothing but rubber in there. They seal pretty well, although water leaks around the windshield occasionally occurred. If yours develops a leak, you can always deal with it later on, but I suspect your car is not too likely to be left out in the rain that much. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
