Any reason for not sticking with stock size? Yes, these are "standard" ratio tires. I think the "standard" profile ratio varies a bit from make to make, but it's almost always 78-80%. R stands for radial. S is a speed rating, which, I think is 105, or maybe 112, mph for an S rating. You can also find H and V rated tires in some sizes, and there are a bunch of other letters which are seldom seen. S rated tires are the standard, normal, radial tires and are fine for type 3s. Sticking with the stock size keeps your odometer and speedometer reading right. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
