I checked the Cooper website-they don't have any 165SR15. Am I right in assuming that SR, stands for standard ratio, which can be replaced with 80. So I am looking for a 165/80 15? Do you guys run any other size tire on your cars? Any reason for not sticking with stock size? Cooper doesn't list anything on their website; neither does Michelin, Continental or Goodyear. There are no Direct Tire shops near here, and they don't have that size on their website. I've called 5 places-only pep-boys had two of this size tire in stock. It was a Euro-Metric brand. I've never heard of, so I'm not sure I want to get those. These are $31/tire, plus $19/tire install and balance. Tirerack.com has a Kumho tire for $30. Again-I have no idea of the quality of a Kumho tire. Firestone Bridgestone has a Dayton Daytona Metric Radial tire on their website. But the local shop does not have it. I just got off the phone with a guy at another Firestone Dealer. He said he will call all his suppliers on Monday to find out what my options are. I've got to call him back Monday afternoon. The more I know about this, the better I feel. I just feel more comfortable having seen a few of the options-then picking one. Thanks for your suggestions so far...i'll keep you all posted. -Kevin '71 FI squareback '65 kombi somerville, ma ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
