Borrow a voltmeter and use it to monitor your 12 V power at the fuse box. Drive 
the car around a bit to warm things up then, with the engine still running, 
check the voltage. The voltage will go up as you speed up the engine, but it 
will level off at some point. That point should be above 14 V. If it ends up 
less than 13.5 V replace the voltage regulator with a Bosch 30-019, which will 
cost you $30-40.

Low system voltage makes the FI run rich.
