Will, your mileage (23 mpg city) sounds about right. I get between 22 and 25 mpg (US). Sometimes around 26 mpg for a highway trip. You occasionally hear about people that claim much higher numbers, but I suspect that they are either measuring with an uncalibrated oedometer or are running way too lean. Currently my FI '70 SQ is getting 23 mpg city (so much better than the 11 mpg I was getting when basically only two injectors/cylinders were firing), and I'd like to up that toward whatever I can achieve. >What should I expect, and what things can I change or adjust in order to improve my mpg's? >Thanx in advance. > > >-- >Will McCreight >whmcc@attglobal.net >Portland, OR >(208) 661-6262 cell > >~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ >List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org >~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ >
