If you saw where I live in the winter, you would know why we drive an
SUV and a 4x4 in the winter. With the SUV I am supposed to not have to
pull the wife out of ditches and snow drifts.
Besides, What am I supposed to use to tow the dead VW's long distances
home with. I am using the KIA this summer to tow a '58 T-2 and many
parts back from Washington.
A 40 year old VW would not have made the trip like I made this last
weekend. Over 1650 miles in one weekend. Plus I brought home a T-3 long
block, an early T-3 rear bumper, and a full set of early heater boxes.
Plus many other parts.
