My guess is that the "parking light control light" is the green dashboard indicator light; the one that tells you your parking lights are on and the headlights are off. I would have expected this to be used in all type 3s, so either my guess is wrong, or there is an error in that wiring diagram. Don't all type 34s have this light? Up thru 67 the front parking lights went off when you turned the headlights on, so the "parking light control light" could have been wired from the front parking light circuit. From 68 on, the parking lights stay on with the headlights, so the "parking light control light" needs a separate terminal (or the front lamps could use the same connection as the rears) and the "control light" could use the old front light terminal. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
