I just want it to look as stock > as possible. If it helps I can post photos. I just checked, and the knob threads are the same, so it looks like you could use the late switch in your 65. The one problem that I see is that the late switch only has 7 terminals, which seem to be quite different (30, 30, 56, 57, 58, 58b, X) compared to the old one here (30, 30, 30, 56, 57, 57, 58, 58b.)
