<x-flowed>On some 1500S's the dizzy needs to be timed at under 700rpm (ie before the advance kicks in).
It's not enough to just remove the vac line, you need to remove 2 plug leads to make it run this slow.


If you set it to 10 degrees at this speed, it shows 12.5 degrees (the LH mark)
when it's ticking over at 900rpm.


This was the mistake I made and why my 64 was missing so badly with the original dizzy refitted.
Timing it to 10 degrees at 900rpm was too retarded.

Got it! Ill have to back it off tommoro. Im investing in a battery so it will idle but its nice that with a vacuum adv dist you can time it at any RPM by removing the vacuum line!

The marks are 7.5, 10, and 12.5 on a '65, so you should be timing to
the middle mark.
