This book is still in print, but with B&W wiring diagrams, for about $40. Used copies can occasionally be found at swap meets, and I have one available here if you're interested. > also what is so special about the type 3 beam > if it just the brakes I got a disc beam from a ghia here Your '73 already has larger disk brake calipers than any Ghia. The type 3 front axle beam includes an anti-sway bar, something which was only added as an afterthought to the type 1 beams. You could certainly convert to a type 1 beam, and no matter what you did, someone has probably done it before you, but there would be little reason to do this since the type 3 beam is a better design in every way. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
