I don't think there is any easy way to repair type 3 heater channels. The main problem is probably that they are not round inside, so you can't just shove a round flex tube down there, unless you're willing to use a smaller tube and suffer from even less heat. Plus, even this would be only a stopgap solution if you don't do something to keep the water out of the rocker panels. > I also find that it's easier to work with sheet aluminum and sheet > metal screws in places that are not load bearing. The good news is that this will retard corrosion of the steel. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
