My first one was a '68 Fastback with only 18,000 miles one it. Bought it in 1969. And the bug was probably one that I bought with a bad engine. The dealership would do things like that for us mechanics. We bought them needing work that they didn't want ot put money into. fixed them up, and sold/traded them back to the dealer. BTW, I am trying to find a dealer logo from that dealer, (Jimmy Nantista VW) and (Bob Dee VW, Porsche Audi). I am trying to get one from each of the dealers I worked for. -- Russ Wolfe '71 FB AT '66 FB MT '64 T34 (not running) '65 T1 (not running) '05 KIA Sorento SUV russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
